The use of solar panels reduces the use of fossil fuels. Solar panels now provide cheaper energy in most sunny places, before gov breaks. Solar panels are nearly all silicon based, they are made mostly of glass and aluminum that is easily recycled and cuts the cost and energy needed to make the panels in half. Only about 3% of the panels is the solar cell themselves, and they are recycled or refurbished.

Solar panels thus need 1000`s of times less mined materials than fossils. The materials needed are common all over the world: silicon and aluminum. The mining for silicon and aluminum is far less environmentally damaging than fossils extraction. No wars will be needed for fuels, since solar is freely distributed and will be around for a billion years.
